Gardasil Vaccine
Available in our Clinic since January 2007.
This vaccine helps prevent infection Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). HPV causes 70% of all Cervical Cancers. Cervical Cancer is the 6th most common cancer for women in Singapore. HPV also causes 90% of Genital Warts in men and women.
Hence, vaccination against HPV (i.e. Gardasil Vaccine) will prevent Cervical Cancer and Genital Warts.
In Singapore, the Gardasil Vaccine is currently indicated for girls and women 9 to 26 years of age. There is, however, new studies which are being carried out which support the use of this vaccine in women 26 to 45 years old.
